Character Summary[]

Stanton was one of the many characters who was manipulated by Irish inmate Ryan O'Reily.

Plot Summary[]

Season 4[]

After a year at Unit B, Stanton started to fight with Irish rapist Patrick Keenan. After sometime, Ryan O'Reily killed Keenan.

After a fight with Jaz Hoyt, Stanton was sent to Protective Custody, where he befriended Cyril O'Reily, who started to tell Stanton about O'Reily's behavior. When discovered that Cyril was talking to Stanton about him, O'Reily intimidated Stanton to stop talking to Cyril and told Cyril that Stanton was a bad man.

Season 5[]

Out of Custody, Stanton tried to become a friend of Cyril, but again O'Reily ordered him to disappear. Then, O'Reily paid inmate Martin Montgomery to tell Warden Leo Glynn he saw Stanton killing Keenan. Stanton was interrogated and thrown in the hole. When he got out, he asked O'Reily who lied to Warden Glynn. O'Reily told him that Montgomery did it. Angry, Stanton got a pencil and stabbed Montgomery in the neck, making him unable to talk. Stanton was then thrown into solitary where he remained for the duration of the season.

Season 6[]

When the solitary evaluations came, Stanton told Claire Howell that if she vouched for him, Stanton will allow her to use him for sex. Instead the inmates and him were watching (particularly Greg Penders) and listening to Howell and Carlos Martinez. Upon hearing the act Stanton says 'having sex. Looks like he needs to make a phone call'. Stanton replied with disappointment. At the solitary evaluation hearings, Stanton told the board that he should be released because Montgomery didn't even die, he just can't sing no more. Glynn rolled his eyes and seeing that Stanton is harmless, Henry was released. He joined the theater group at the play MacBeth playing the Third Weird Sister, almost came to blows with Poet and Reggie Rawls, and complained to lawyer Tobias Beecher that the COs were making him work with pain in the back. After Glynn's death, Stanton told Tim McManus that Lionel Kelsch was saying that he killed Glynn.
