Plot Summary[]

Season 1[]

D'Angelo is a soldier taking orders from his boss, Nino Schibetta. He overlooks some of the black inmates, led by Jefferson Keane to keep the peace in the drug trade. When Keane, with the help from Ryan O'Reily has Dino Ortolani whacked, D'Angelo states that no drug dealing will occur until Ortolani’s killer is found. He then assists the other Sicilians in murdering Johnny Post, the Homeboy who carried out the hit. The Homeboys start heckling D'Angelo in the gym, but he is proven to be a skilled fighter and manages to take out Adebisi and Markstrom before being pinned down by Jefferson Keane. Keane dies shortly afterwards when he receives the death penalty for killing a Latino inmate during a fight that was arranged by Ryan O'Reily. After this happens, the prison is locked down, but the Homeboys are still ready for war. Ryan O'Reily then convinces Simon Adebisi and new inmate Kenny Wangler that D'Angelo was the one who set up Keane, partly because he also has a side battle with him. The Homeboys look to eliminate D'Angelo, a task that they accomplish in a kitchen "accident". Wangler and Adebisi attack D’Angelo in the kitchen. D’Angelo is last seen recuperating in the infirmary, resulting in his survival of the attack.
