Plot Summary[]
Season 3[]
Convicted and sent to Emerald City, Meaney became loyal to the Irish leader Ryan O'Reily. When the boxing-matches starts, Liam cheered for the Irish representative, Cyril O'Reily.
Season 4 Part I[]
When Tobias Beecher and Chris Keller change their cells, Meaney becomes Keller's cellmate.
Season 4 Part II[]
Keller leaves Liam's cell and his new cellmate is the Irish Provisional Irish Republican Army (PIRA) Padraig Connolly. Connolly tells him that he wasn't True Irish and later tells O'Reily the same thing. Then, Connolly tells O'Reily and Meaney about how his mother was killed by British soldiers and why he became a PIRA's member.
Season 5[]
At the previous season, O'Reily kills Irish rapist Patrick Keenan. To mess up with the investigation, O'Reily pays fellow inmate Martin Montgomery to tell Warden Leo Glynn he saw Henry Stanton killing Keenan. O'Reily tells Meaney the whole story and orders him to put Keenan's necklace at Montgomery's cell.
Season 6[]
In this season, Meaney goes to see the parole board led by Luis Ruiz. After the meeting, he informs Tim McManus that his parole was denied. He is later seen buying marijuana brownies from Stanley Bukowski and laughing, stoned, while watching Miss Sally's Schoolyard.
