Samuel Gougeon can be seen in Emerald City's background.
Season 3 Edit
As a Christian, Gougeon can be seen with Harden and Schirner around Emerald City. Gougeon supported William Cudney's attempt to make the inmates stop watching Miss Sally's Schoolyard. The tension grew and Emerald City was locked down for some minutes.
Season 4 Edit
In the first half of this extended season, Gougeon, Harden, and the other Christians are transferred out of Em City on orders from Martin Querns. When Querns is fired all wrongfully transferred prisoners are returned. Reverend Jeremiah Cloutier arrived during the second half and started converting Catholic inmates. Although, Gougeon decided leave the flock and asked Father Mukada to convert him to Catholicism. Angry, Timmy Kirk paid James Robson and the Aryan Brotherhood to beat up Gougeon. They did it and Gougeon was sent to the hospital badly injured. Angry, Father Mukada accused Cloutier of asking someone to hurt Gougeon for envy.
Season 5 Edit
Whilst exercising in the gym, Gougeon overhears a conversation between new inmate, Wolfgang Cutler, and Vernon Schillinger regarding Cutler's initiation into the Aryan Brotherhood. Schillinger tells Cutler that if he wanted in he'd have to kill someone and that a black inmate was preferred. Cutler picked Kareem Said. Gougeon then told Omar White about the conversation he heard Cutler and Schillinger having.
Season 6 Edit
It's not known if Gougeon left the Protestants, but he is back to Emerald City. To take his men out of Zahir Arif's book-binding lab, Burr Redding decided to destroy his machines. He paid CO Jason Armstrong to let him in and obligated Gougeon to destroy the machines (as punishment for Gougeon speaking about religion on the telemarking calls). While praying, Gougeon threw some liquid in the machines, destroying them.
